It appears that folks will be able to get their hands on a demo version of Square Enix’s much-anticipated RPG, Final Fantasy VII Remake just before the title is launched. A report from GameSpot earlier this week stated that PlayStation 4 players can expect to get their hands on the remake of Final Fantasy 7 demo on March 3.
Square Enix hasn’t made any comments about when the demo should be expected irrespective of the hint from GameSpot. The report from GameSpot read: “A Final Fantasy VII Remake demo is scheduled for March 3 on PS4,”
“Due to a recent leak, a ton of details are emerging around the game, so if you don’t want to get spoiled, we highly encouraged staying away from anything remotely related to the demo.”
If the report materializes, then it’s a smart idea to launch a demo on the same day as the game is released. This will allow the company to take advantage of the hype generated from the launch whilst showing enthusiasts and critics of the game what the title has to offer
What is Final Fantasy 7 Remake?
- Developer – Square Enix
- Release date – 3 March, 2020
- Format – PS4
Final Fantasy 7 can be described as the reimagining of the iconic original game which resulted in the re-definition of the RPG genre, thus diving deeper into the world and its characters in a way that has not been done before.
The first game in this new project will be set in the eclectic city of Midgar and provides a completely standalone gaming experience, whilst providing a decent starting point to the series that focuses more on the events in Midgar than in the original game.
Final Fantasy 7 will feature a hybrid battle system where there’ll be a merging of real-time action with strategic command-based combat. However, the section of the game that will be playable still remains unknown at the time of writing.
